Change template

Comment RSS Comment RSS

Today most of my time dedicated to finding a good WP theme. I like this template, but the word <Blog Oh Blog> I want to get rid off la..and put my own blog title. I’m not dare to touch the script in WP…scared it goes hirewired then no one save me. I also downloaded some theme that almost suit my taste. I prefer something simple and easy to read and will go on a 3 columns template here.

Also doubt that, since I’m using WordPress version 2.3, are we suitable to used those template for version 2 or below? I found some template I like, but I don’t like the header picture. Not sure also if that can be change to my own design header…really need help on this now.

Another funny thing I encounter today. For the first post on this blog, I need to go through all comments and approved it. For the second post, all comments are just plain text with no HTML code attached or website URL. It happens that some comments need my authorization, some doesn’t need. I didn’t do any new setting to my comments moderation. Can anyone tell me if you are facing this problem too? and what makes it goes that way?

You blogroll with the *New* blinking when there is new post is cool. How did you do that.? Where and what code to get and add. :)

JC: I got the glitter animated mini graphics from http://www.glitter-graphics.com/graphics/214057 (for example)

Download the image and host the graphic somewhere…

In Blogroll, go to Preference - scroll to Recently Updated. At “Select a duration to active…” choose “24 hours”. Paste the mini image source URL (where your image hosted) at the box next to “Append to recently updated link” - click UPDATE. If no graphics it will works too just put any plain text like **NEW**

At URL to Image Translation, click on the “Check to enable”. UPDATE..

Then you are done, it will appear the NEW blinky once is blog post updated…But this function not 100% work well…just for easy reference.

    Hi Judy,
nice set up:) I am currently using a theme from Blog of Blog too, and I love it. Initially there are many things i wanted to change, for instant, the font size and color, the header. And guess what, I wrote to Bob (the theme designer) and get personal support from him. With lots of touch up, now my blog looks colorful oredi :)
