Travelling has been one of my favorite things to do after knowing hubby. We have been to a few countries and we really fall in love to all the places we visited. The great vacation is got to be our honeymoon trip in Beijing back in 2004. An 8 days long holiday, experienced the great history and culture of the oldest China. Really wonderful, if there is any chance I will sure back again.

Throughout the places we visited, I still preferred a country rich of Chinese culture for there is no communication barrier and every other thing is close to me. So far only Beijing and Hong Kong are amongst the Chinese culture country I have been visited. My recent trip to Hong Kong is the fully self arrangement trip, whereby from flight booking to accommodation and places to visit we arranged it by ourselves.

Of cause this trip we really put in lots of time in preparation and I really enjoy searching for the travel info. I get to know more of the country, the culture and interesting places beforehand. I still remember during the period of preparation I watched closely on the weather in Hong Kong, as that time was on Winter.

Every day the weather changes a lot and these really helps me what I should bring to prepare for the weather. During the last day of our trip in Macau, we experienced the lowest weather reading 11c. We really not prepared for it and of cause it is very very cold, we got to wear 4 layers to get ourselves warm. That day we will depart from Macau so no point bought a north face winter jacket. May be can get it during my next Winter trip. My dream vacation is going to Europe during Winter time. I’m sure the weather will be much colder than Macau and more winter clothing needed by then. Well, when is the trip? Only God knows.

The born of Facebook took over my priority with other social networks. Today, Facebook is the fastest growing social network in the world. Here makes a great place to look for family, friends, or that long-lost someone. My network of friends begin to grow since the day I join and no doubt, I’m so happy now as I get connect to many of my lost contact schoolmates and friends. Other than stay contact with people, we can update our daily status, photo album, blogs, search friends, give comments, play games, send gifts/greeting, send poking, e-hugs and kisses and etc. The uncountable applications is another fun things to play about.

Facebook is a very transparent medium, with one click on the News Feed, we can now get up close whats happening around them. From there, we can see what’s our friends are doing and newly update in the network. It is the fastest way to know their well-being rather than get them through the line.

I’m kind of addicted to Facebook now to find more and more of my lost contact friends and know about how each other doing. Photo Album is the section I like the most. Here is a great place to update their recent event and special moments. I simply love the Christmas last year, lots of my friend currently residing in overseas shared about their Winter holiday and Christmas holiday. Sometime I just can’t wait to pack my winter outdoor clothing and join them have fun in playing snowball, making snow angles and skiing. Well, one day I’m sure can make it on Christmas and appear in their holiday album.

Got to back to Facebook to poke some hibernating friends there. Lets see whose now Till then meet you up at Facebook. Adios!

Yoga have been around for many years and most of us take it as an exercise and relaxation time during the session. I have heard of what been told the disadvantages of Yoga that basically related to my religion; better not to involve in it. I myself did joined for trial classes before, but it is not something I want which is in a “healthy” way.

I strongly want to show you a message below, hope it will give you a clear picture what Yoga is all about other than just exercising your body, mind and soul.

On Wednesday, I attended a talk by an ex-yoga teacher, Mdm Poh Shon Choy, who sold her yoga centre (earning lots of money giving yoga lessons) and severed all ties with yoga. She urges us to inform relatives, friends, Family members, etc., NOT to get involved at all.

Many claimed that they only join to keep fit, only Doing the exercise poses and not meditation. Christians think it is ok so long they don’t participate in the Meditation part. Mdm Choy explains that the central of Yoga (originated from Hinduism) is the spirit of Kundalini (spirit Of snake or cobra).

Yoga poses are actually animal poses (e.g. camel, rabbit,). All these look very normal and harmless, stretching and exercising. But the danger is, once a person does such poses, the spirit of Kundalini (the snake is in a coiled position) is stimulated or aroused. As the persons goes from basic to intermediate to advance stage of yoga lessons (still not meditation yet), the coiled “snake” will be aroused further. It will rise and rise further.

There are 7 centres in the human body - Starting from the navel. The final centre is the part between the eye brows (known to many as the third eye). When the spirit is aroused to the final centre, the third eye will be opened.

This is called the full enlightenment.

The first thing the person sees is demons. For some, they will become insane seeing such horrifying demons. For others, they are not afraid - And will have the power to fore-tell other people’s health, problems, luck, etc (like a fortune teller). In fact, they manipulate and control other people.

The meditation part will come in very subtle.

Mdm Choy said she was approached by a couple who found Her contact from the yellow pages and told her they wanted To teach her new things about yoga. She was very keen and Sat under their teaching. She learnt how to meditate and it must be done in odd hours of the day (past midnight). So she tried. She actually felt a wriggling feeling in her stomach! She also mentioned that her third eye was opened.

She could see her own aura (electric fields in all human beings). Her turning point came when God caused her spiritual eyes to open - she witnessed a lady being delivered, wriggling Like a snake on the floor..

Mdm Choy thanked God for being gracious to her, she took 1-2 weeks to be delivered. She knows of a lady who took 3 months to be cleansed!!

It is a sad thing, there is even yoga lessons For children. In the States, a Methodist started the Christian yoga.

However, there are some believers who still continue, Saying that they find no harm after doing yoga for 3 years. Mdm Choy says it is our soul that is in danger. The evil one will try all ways to ensnare/trap Christians.

Someone in the class raised a question - if we have The Holy Spirit, how can the spirit of kundalini be aroused?
Mdm Choy replied our God is a holy God, the Holy Spirit will be grieved and will depart. God cannot be mocked. God’s spirit left King Saul when he disobeyed God. To God, rebellion spirit is witchcraft.

We are not against yoga teachers, yoga students but we are fighting against powers, principalities in the Spiritual realm.

Let’s be on guard, be aware!

Taking the greatest gut in me to reveal the ugliest part of me. That’s my wrinkled feet and toes. The skin lines is so obvious and rough. Whenever I barefoot, I extremely shy and embrassed putting my feet out. Thats the reason why I refuse to go for a pedicure. I also try not to wear sandals or shoes which can show larger part of my feet. It can be dry after a long walk and under dry weather.

You must be asking why not apply lotion. I have used heaps brands of lotion before but none of that works good on me. I’m so hate of this, I wish too to have a flawless feet skin, but I’m born like that. My brother also having the wrinkled skin on feet.

There was a few days I passed by my neighbor doorstep, I got to sniff a strong durian smell..I was thinking it must be the durian season now. The smell really so tempting and thats makes me so craving on it. I told my mum if happen to see anywhere selling kampung durian, pls buy back. Well, it is not that easy to find, unless we really go into some rural kampung area and have it there. All those selling in town are the “D” branded.

It is quite cheap now. RM10 for 5 small one. Sunday, mum brought back the durian together with mangosteen. What a great fruit to accompany with it. King of fruits with Queen of fruits.

Forget to take pic, left the only last piece of durian.

Just before I have my last bite of durian, I was thinking how mangosteen taste like already?..too long never eat. When I open up the first one, it was really nice..sweet and frangrant, finally I found back the great taste. That was my lunch of the day, since Big Man no favour to it, me and mum wallop all up.

Mangosteen is a very good fruit. A few days ago, came across an article from newspaper saying mangosteen juice is recovering a patient who suffer from blood block in heart. Mangosteen is an anti-oxidants fruit which is good in fighting cancer too (related article here).

Bed Sheets
After drying sheets, put both sheets and one pillowcase in the other pillow case. Fold neatly in a square. Next time you change sheets, you just take the one pillow case and all the sheets and pillow case are inside. No need to look for matches.

Reheat Pizza
Heat up leftover pizza in a non-stick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really works.

Reheating refrigerated bread
To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.

Broken Glass
Use a dry cotton ball to pick up little broken pieces of glass - the fibers catch ones you can’t see!

Easier thank you’s
When you throw a bridal/baby shower, buy a pack of thank you cards for the guest of honor. During the party, pass out the envelopes and have everyone put their address on one. When the bride/new mother sends the thank you’s, they’re all addressed!

Name tag
If you purchase a new bike for your child, place their picture inside the handle bar before placing the grips on. If the bike is stolen and later recovered, remove the grip and there is your proof who owns the bike.

Flexible vacuum
To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an empty paper towel roll or empty gift wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be bent or flattened to get in narrow openings.

Reducing Static Cling
Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and — voila — static is gone.

Measuring Cups
Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill it with hot water. Dump out the hot water, but don’t dry the cup. Next, add your ingredient, such as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right out.

Foggy Windshield?
Hate foggy windshields? Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove box of your car. When the windows fog, rub with the eraser! Works better than a cloth!

Reopening envelope
If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an hour or two. Voila! It unseals easily.

Conditioner
Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It’s a lot cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It’s also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn’t like when you tried it in your hair…

Good-bye Fruit Flies
To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass fill it 1/2 with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dishwashing liquid, mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!

Get Rid of Ants
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it ‘home,’ & can’t digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, esp. if it rains, but it works & you don’t have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!

Take baby powder to the beach
Keep a small bottle of baby powder in your beach bag. When you’re ready to leave the beach sprinkle yourself and kids with the powder and the sand will slide right off your skin.

Last Saturday Agong’s birthday, finally big man got a holiday break. We decided to treat ourself good on this day. Hubby brought us to Shogun Japanese Buffet restaurant at 1 Utama, New Wing. We were there to have lunch buffet. So, you may guess the recent petrol hike may hinder ppl from shopping and eat out for awhile. Guess it is not, the car park is still very very full since early the morning and Shogun is full house man! Luckily we did an early booking and we just walk in without need to wait at the long queue.

We brought along our little rascal. He was sick since last week (fever, cough and flu). Guess he won’t have appetite for outside food, so I brought along porridge and medicine too not forget. Boy slept on the way to 1U. We reach there on time. Lunch starts 12noon - 3pm.

The ambience

I just can’t be left out of his sight, while I’m away hunting the food, he kept crying for me. Even daddy also can’t comfort him. So, I got to quick each round and sneak away when daddy plays with him. He only have 5 spoons of porridge and thought he wants to try on some nice looking sushi, it is not too. He not ate much when we were there. Just play with daddy and a little girl next to our table, walk around and want to be carried. For good, he only sat on the high chair for the first half an hour. I also can’t have a peaceful mind to look for more food and eat more.

We had 2 cheese baked oysters which is not on the buffet menu (entitle 1 for each customer). I didn’t have it as I sniff there is a strong fishy smell when hubby eating it. Here are part of the food,

Other than this, there are more varieties on Japanese, Chinese and Korean cuisine, soups, hot plates and dessert. Green tea ice-cream is taste good! We take turn to wallop it fast and look after the little monkey. We take a move at 2.30pm. I can say overall the food is ok and acceptable, just wish to have longer hour and eat slowly on all, as you know with a kid along you can’t have that privilege.

On the way back, the boy looks extremely tired after med. Just to cheer him for a while, daddy put him on the kid’s ride. He just don’t want to be carried away when force to go. Of cause he cried all the way which have draws many eyes looking on me like thought I tortured him. I almost can’t grab him tight when he struggle hard. Finally, he totally ran out of energy and exhausted, he slept all the way home.

This coming Sunday is the chinese lunar calendar month 5th day 5th. It is our chinese traditional Dumpling Festival also called Dragon Boat Festival. As usually, family all will gather for a meal and yak some chinese dumpling (zongzi).

I like varies type of dumpling fillings like red beans, those with meat, mushroom, beans, dried shrimps, chesnuts, salted duck eggs, nyonya and etc. Can’t eat much at a time, the most 2 will make you feel very full. For many years, due to busy at work, my mum not making any dumpling for us. This year she have some extra time and I’m so happy that she will making some to eat and distribute. She even surprise us that she will put dry scallops as one of the filling ingredient.

The skill of wrapping this triangle shape of glutinous rice is not really easy. During those day when I got chance help out in the making, I tried before, really it need lots of skill to wrap it tight and in shape. This morning went to market to do my weekly purchases, walk across lots of stalls selling dumpling.

I bought 2 (one for big man) to eat as breakfast also at the same time to check price. Since many things are increasing lately, it cost RM4.50 per piece. That only for a normal filling with meat, mushroom and beans only. Those with extra ingredient I believe it is above RM5. Duh, expensive betul…

Anyway life still goes on and yeah it is more hard now with the recent whopping increase of petrol price and soon on electricity and believe with petrol increase everything will increase very soon. All the best to all of us to continue to survive under the situation of salary-no-increase-yet.

Wishes you,

HAPPY DUMPLING FESTIVAL ~ 端午节快乐! ~

Belanja you a bite of my RM4.50 zong
